Picked up some tickets today. They're right at the entrance at least at my location! Thank you 😊

(Removed original info as it was based on a rumor before the tickets were officially released)
Honestly it depends on the scenario. If you're wanting a once-in-a-lifetime Disney trip and you're willing to spend at least a week there, then World. If you're just looking for a shorter vacation and/or you're looking to save a bit of money, then Land. But anyone who enjoys theme parks or Disney should absolutely do both at some point.

What I like about Disneyland in particular is:

1) The more chill atmosphere. It's a local's park. Most people who are visiting aren't there on a week-long vacation and staying in a Disney hotel. They're driving in from around the LA area. And so mornings are much more calm, the park feels more serene. You can also get a cheap hotel just outside the park gates and walk over in the morning, rather than riding a bus. I personally feel like you get a lot more of that random street entertainment at Disneyland.

2) The density of rides and attractions. They squeeze a lot more into that tiny space, and as a result, it's usually very easy to find short lines even on busier days. Disneyland Park has most of the best rides of Magic Kingdom (and better versions of them in many cases), plus they have Galaxy's Edge and Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, some of the best parts of Hollywood Studios. And California Adventure has a mishmash of other great rides, some which are also found at Disney World (like Soarin and Toy Story Mania), other rides which are similar to Disney World counterparts (like Radiator Springs Racers and Mission Breakout), and some which are completely unique (like Incredicoaster and Web Slingers).

3) SoCal weather beats Florida weather any day of the week. Summer in SoCal can be hot, but it's tolerable. Summer in Florida is absolute misery.
You can go for a lot cheaper than this and still have a great time. You don't need to spend 3 days there. You don't need park hopper. You don't need lightning lanes. This is just a deal because it's a good price for a package that includes all of that for those people that would have bought all of that anyway.

Are you talking about TicketsAtWork.com? Not that great of a deal. You can buy a 4 day ticket direct from Disney for the same price, plus you can pay with Disney gift cards, which you can find discounted 10% every once in a while.

But that price doesn't include lightning lanes or the dining card. And I would much rather do a 3 day hopper than a 4 day single park at Disneyland. You don't need more than 3 days at Disneyland, and park hopping is such a great perk to have there since the two parks are literally just steps away from each other. You'll get just as much done but you won't have to spend as much on hotel and food.
Also debating:
400 for 4 day 1 park per day
vs
450
3 days, hopper, lighting, 30$ dining.

Y'all keep forgetting that for a lot of American family, being able to go to Disney for a vacation is a flex. It has been for decades and will always be.
Just wait for the next pandemic. Then it will become cheaper. 😉

Would it be weird to go by myself? I can't afford to bring the wife & kids.

It's always a tough decision, go to Disneyland for 3 days or spend a week in Hawaii or Europe for the same price. Hmmmm?
I've been to all those places and Hawaii/Europe are considerably more expensive for meals/food/transportation/entertainment.
One overlooked benefit of vacationing at Disneyland is that you can take the train all the way south to SD or north to LA, SB, SF and enjoy new locations, so you're not just limited to DL.

DL was actually nice during the latter part of the pandemic. Limited tickets, and you needed a reservation.

Don't shave for a week, wear the clothes you work on the lawn with, wear mirrored sunglasses, keep your hands in your pockets, and stick to the kiddy rides. You will be good.

I was there in August 2020, still crowded as heck. And you still need park reservations now so that hasn't changed.

Stay away from the Disneyland with the free white windowless van shuttle. Never again.

Do I have to choose all three dates at one time or can I pick one date for next week? For example, then in a month choose another date, then in 3 months choose the last date?

I have a pass, but if I didn't I would get this deal and spread of the visits. Use 1 day in summer, 1 day in Halloween season and 1 day in the Xmas/Holidays season.
