definitely win win for everyone
1. power company gets $ from battery not gas
2. the pollution 2 strokes put out is insane compared to a gas car.
3. consumer gets cheaper tool and doesnt have to deal with gas / oil

Went on the rebate page

https://mn.my.xcelenergy.com/s/st...-equipment

All states other than Minnesota (where I assume OP is) show "Offering May Not Be Available in Your Area" message.

Awesome deals though.

Lol. These rebates are state/region specific and should not be included in "deal price".

Have they fixed the auto oiler on these?

I purchased one shortly after they were first available and the oiling setup has been a near deal breaker for what otherwise would be a five star tool for light trimming. I know my saw is not just an outlier as I've seen several similar comments and that is over very limited research.

It seems to leak almost as fast as one can poor oil into the tank, and that makes for unneeded mess and storage hassles. And, to be clear I own a variety of both gas and electric saws of varying sizes and realize such things tend to be a bit messy by nature. This thing leaks more oil than all of them combined- that's not an exaggeration.

Yes but if your job is not arborist then you don't need this. Chain require lubing, replacing more often than saw blade.

I own both just because I like collecting. I probably use the m18 one hand chainsaw 1 out of a 100 times I trim my tree.

I have 3 stihl gas saws and 4 battery saws in including the hatchet. I have yet to even sharpen the chain in the hatchet. It is used way more than my other saws. Wifey uses it. But I have to refill it with oil because she has no clue as to why it needs oil. LOL. The chain will last forever as long as oil is in it, because it is much lower RPM than regular chainsaws and does not get heated.

If you are cutting through any more than a few branches this is worth it. It is a chainsaw and cuts through wood much faster than a recip saw.

This looks much lighter...probably better for women and old ppl

I have used this little handy saw for a year made well easy to service, cuts very well branches saplings, just stay within the recommended diameter size for cutting that little saw is a work horse just like any chainsaw watch your hands especially if you are wearing gloves it is sharp and fast had a few close calls but I have payed attention since then.

Was going to be all over this deal (I'm in MN) BUT per rebate saw requirements: "CHAINSAW BLADE MUST BE AT LEAST 12 inches LONG"…

Also Northern Tool has it at $149 - $20 off with code, so better deal with rebate there, if the rebate worked for the M12 Hatchet…

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP ON THE REBATE PAGE THOUGH!! No one in my family or neighborhood knew about it…
