My inkling is that this combo could be enough to power 2 garage doors and occaisional power tool usage (or charging cordless) in a detached garage, and avoid me wiring it to the house. Open to others experiences / opinions.

Seems this kit wouldn't be very good due to undersized solar panels with a proprietary connector? I'm looking at something that can keep me going for 5 days camping with a little fridge and other small appliances. Do you all know of anything like that on sale?

The solar panels are weak and will need 24 hours of sun to charge up this battery station.

3000 pro is Lithium-ion, 2k cycles. The new homepower 3000 is LiFePO4, 4k cycles according to jackerys website

The connectors aren't proprietary, they're known as a DC8020. That said, it is certainly annoying when others use the defacto-standard XT60 plug. There are converters, so that part is not a big deal.

The bigger deal is that the Jackery manuals suggest you MUST use their solar panels and that they MUST be matched between the two DC8020 ports in order to avoid damage due to "voltage inconsistencies". No clue if that's a ploy to sell more of their panels, a poorly-implemented charge controller, or a way to get out certain warranty claims. Whatever the case may be, it's overly restrictive unless you don't have any existing setup and you are certain you won't be expanding on this one.
