Dang, ANOTHER type of filter... wish they'd all just use 1 type (I collect these water fountains and pace them everywhere, to keep the cats on their toes so they drink water lol)

i was trying to figure out what filters go in this. were you able to find them? they appear to be circle like the catit filters. i almost want to buy this just to see if the catit filters fit in it.

looks like coupon for gray is gone, just cyan available now.

Couldn't you just take the filter out?

I use mine without the filter, only the reusable hair filter. It's not this brand though. Fill it with RO when it's empty. But they prefer to drink out of the dogs bowl.

It's not, it's a different type than the catit (I wish it was the catit, those things are awesome, got great water flow, and never ever really gets clogged - it's one of the best designs IMO). Maybe the Catit filters will work.... I think I might bite anyways.

It may be same shape, but it's most definitely not hte same composition (the other filter has compartments, this looks like aquarium filtering media, cut in a circle - check out the sample photos in the reviews!).

No, not really. Usually when you do... Debris and gunk gets into the water pump, then once it gets clogged it can eventually heat up and seize. I lost one doing that, albeit, it didn't have the sponge filter like this one... ($3-5 on amazon gets you a new pump though, so it's not a big deal)
