Deal HistoryÂ
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
That's the problem with Ecoflow, the batteries cost the same as the primary units.
$161 - 286Wh - River 3 Plus Small Expansion Battery - SALE price
$189 - 245Wh - River 3
$259 - 286Wh - River 3 Plus
$469 - 1024Wh - Delta 3 Plus Refurbished via eBay
$549 - 527Wh - River 3 Plus Large Expansion Battery
$549 - 868Wh - River 3 Plus &Large Expansion Battery combo
$649 - 1024Wh - Delta 3 Plus
Different needs benefit from different inverter sizes and more or less portability.
The Small Expansion battery is more or less for folks camping / portability focused.
The River 3 Plus w/ Large Expansion Battery is great as a UPS due to a more efficient inverter than the Delta 3 Plus, but it's so expensive, that you might as well go for the Delta 3 Plus. (Or get the refurb D3+ , which I did.)
@Ecoflow, sell me the large battery stand alone for $249 please. That's still profitable for you, and makes it cheap enough that I won't just buy a cheapie battery from another brand and pretend it's a solar panel.
This is where Ecoflow kinda fails. Their expansion batteries are ridiculously expensive, and you can't daisy chain them. Instead of an easy upgrade-over-time path, the high cost of the batteries has me researching "difficulty" (not really) DIY alternatives.
I am willing to pay a premium for ease and convenience and to save time. Really. I am. I'd rather put in more time at work than waste hours putting together a DIY rig. But when that DIY way is WAY cheaper, it starts to look like a good option.

Why buy this instead of another River 3 Plus for the same(ish) price?

It's smaller and has a 140 w in and out USB port. Plus it's simpler than having to manage two River 3 Plus units. And you can easily detach it from the River 3 Plus and just use the USB port for small, easily portable USB power.
And where can you get a River 3 Plus for this price anyway?
