If your trying to skimp 5$, your just missing out. They devs keep dropping fresh new content and the player base is massively supported.

We've all spend 60$+ on AAA titles that turn out to be trash and we never play them again. 25-30$ for a high quality game that you know you'll like is hard to beat.

This is one of those games better played with the player count is high. No point getting this when it's dirty cheap but nobody is playing

he's suggesting others to not wait for the game to get cheaper and just buy it now.

If you've been thinking about picking this game up, now is a great time! Just released a major update as others have said. I've had it since day one and I always end up going back to it to play with friends. Playing with randoms is great too and even when the game is not as busy as it is at the moment, as it's always easy to find randoms to play with. Community of this game I would say is one of the best! Don't wait to save a few more dollars on it because you will miss out on a really fun moment that's happening right now (well not fun for the citizens of Super Earth). FOR SUPER EARTH!!

Honestly me and my friends had high hopes for this game and it was severely disappointing. You just run the same missions over and over. There's no character to it. Not even worth getting tbh
to each their own, I guess? This is my favorite game of the last couple of years

And I feel comfortable playing on comms with randos. Has one of the least toxic player bases of anything around outside of maybe deep Rock galactic

I bought the game with some friends and played a bunch back in March/April last year right after it came out. I got kind of burned out on it, but came back to it a week ago. It's alive and well, and there are quite a few new things they've added. The Illuminate were (re)introduced from the original game a while after I quit playing, and they add some nice variety from the Terminids and Automatons the game launched with.

If you like team based shooters, you'll like Helldivers. My one criticism is that if you're getting old and suck at games like I do, you'll start running into a wall getting resources (Super Samples) that require playing on Extreme difficulty to be able to obtain. It really puts a halt on upgrading your ship. It's not necessary, but they're definitely endgame-level upgrades that take a serious team to walk out with.

"Least toxic player bases..." I don't know about that. Maybe it mellowed out over the past year, but it was very toxic when I played a bunch last year. Perhaps the flavor-of-the-day kids moved onto another shooter. They'd rage against anyone who didn't bring meta-gear, and immediately leave when things got tough, leaving their team in a bad position.

I bought this a while back for $28, didn't want to pay full price for something I wasn't sure I'd like…I've since gladly spent $30 on extra content in game. Rate you can earn premium currency for free feels by far the most generous of any game I've played (and I still bought super credits bc I love the game so much and wanted to support devs).

great time to get into this game with the release of the new update. you can avoid the toxic players by avoiding difficulty 10 with randoms. best (and way more fun) to get a group of buddies for that.

Is that for cosmetics? Ive never cared much about non gameplay dlc.
You buy war bonds in the game with super credits to unlock more weapons, armor, vehicles, etc. You can buy super credits with real money, or you can pick them up on missions. I have never paid real money for super credits and I have all of the war bonds unlocked.
