No-go for me on this deal. At the last step after it looks like it's going to check out, it says OOS at my local Best Buy.

Also for me there's a $15.39 service fee. Instacart+ trial reduces it to... $14.99

Can someone provide step by step instructions? There's no 30% Instacart cash back that I see in Paypal. I scrolled through several pages of cash back websites and don't see this.
Same, no offer for instacart in my paypal. Such a bummer.

Other companies just want short term payout and don't provide long term support so some people will pay for the reliability and support.
A fair point. Our house went all in on the WDTV Live devices (10 years ago?) and now they are just sitting in my basement.

Im trying to figure out why I should get this.

I dont subscribe to cable and onyl subscribe to Netflix and Amazon prime. I have a Xbox Series X console.

Ive got two Sony TVs - 1 85X95K; and 1 75X950G. 85" connected to a Onkyo AVR and the 75" connected to a Samsung soundbar.

What would I use or need the Shield for?

FYI, the newest generation 4k Fire Stick now supports passthrough of lossless Dolby Atmos TrueHD with Plex. Unfortunately DTS-HD still downconverts to lossy unless you use Kodi

I have no clue how this still holds it's value six years ago. Not calling it a bad product, just insane that it hasn't dropped in price even.
edit: being heavily downvoted but what I mean is that when tech ages, the price goes down. Even Apple products that hold their value exceptionally well go down 6 years after they release.

10 years later we are still receiving updates

Would a $200 HTPC on sale work better than the Shield? I know you have to buy a $20 voice remote, but just curious the benefits or losses.

Probably depends on what your wanting to do. I went from a HTPC to this about 7 years ago and haven't looked back. Still use the same one almost daily.

It's like Nintendo games, but not as popular.
