Remember, they do not kill grubs. The image in this deal has the old product image, they revised their product to omit grub killing properties.

For grub killing, i still stick with GrubEX. I tried imidacloprid liquid last year and something strange happened to my grass (it died in numerous areas)

On a side note, have you or anyone found something effective against ants? I used Spectra and I still get ant mounds popping up. I'm trying to avoid baiting but it sounds like that's what I need?
Yep these products just stop/repel them from advancing on your yard, once they have a colony underground they are going to have enough staying power to resist dying to this, unless you start taking the colony out with bait. Personally im fine with ants in the yard, i hit the perimeter of the outside of the house a few times a year with strong permethrin based liquid to keep them away from there but they can go eat junk in the yard all they want for all i care. My soil isnt that deep though, their colonies are always pretty small so thats probably why it doesnt bother me.

But why? Yards are where bugs live. Some bifen xts for house perimeter defense does it. Unless you've got a nasty variety. Then you'd need to bait to kill the colony.

One treatment of Bifenethrin granules killed all of the ants in my yard for most of a year, and I had a lot of ants.

I put this stuff on my lawn every year to control mosquitos. Does a pretty decent job. If you have pets it keeps the ticks/fleas away too.
