eBay isn't on Best Buy's approved price match list, so very doubtful.
The Sony is the only one that has an ATSC 3.0 new GEN tuner you'll regret not having it in the future

AFAIK less than 20% of households use OTA anymore, so over 80% of em wouldn't regret not having a thing they'll never use-- there's a reason many TVs aren't bothering to include them anymore.. (and for the minority that needs em anyway there's 3rd party ones you can add)
And a mistake IMO.
Nexgen is awesome
Doesn't Sony use LG panels? I thought Sony was simply lg with better guts... though I love the LG magic remote
And a mistake IMO.

Well, the market doesn't seem to think so... as mentioned more than 4 out of 5 households don't bother with OTA signal at all, and like 90% of TVs sold don't have 3.0 tuners in them.
What do you imagine ATSC 3.0 can deliver that folks can't already get via internet/streaming/cable services?

I was on same boat last year and almost pulled trigger on 65" lg c3 oled 1k target deal but changed my mind and snagged 77" a80cl at costco deal. which is pretty much same as this bravia8. Looked at s90c from Samsung but the upscaling was garbage on it
but it was sure bright, way too bright.
All pro reviews compare all the little things which may matter to some but I found most reviews overlook real world usage of watching mixed content, which is probably what 80% of people would still watch vs straight 4k content. 4k content would look awesome on any 4k tv since you aren't comparing tvs side by side like you would in store.
No regrets, astounding picture quality , plenty bright, but the most important aspect is its ability to upscale different resolutions and make them look awesome. also, sony pic is great out of box, not much tinkering needed, just plugin and watch for most part. Google tv os is better than I expected and works pretty great so far. It also has atsc3.0 which is niceto have but only if you watch sports or local news, otherwise cable and OTA is pretty much dead or will be soon. Streaming/ YouTube etc is where its at.
Nice thing about having Google tv on sony is that you can pretty much load any Android app and have tv be like a giant tablet. Most non Google tv apps should work too, at least ones I've tried.
I can't compare to lg or other tv os
