In for one because I love audio and bad with money.
Sounds like you just might need some ear plugs 😄
I've heard the XM5 have excellent noise cancelling, the noise cancelling here is just "ok". Benefit to these Yamahas is the excellent Yamaha sound quality and AptX Adaptive if you have supported hardware and want to game with them, with the advantage of Low Latency. I use them specifically with my Logitech G Cloud hardware that supports AptX Adaptive.

Shooting range compatible?
Depends on if they'll fit under earmuffs or not...
Unless you're only shooting suppressed, I wouldn't count on most BT earbuds to save you from a lifetime of hearing loss.
If you're asking, i'm assuming you're planning on going to a public range, probably indoor, where you may be stuck next to somebody shooting .308 with a 2 port brake 3 feet from your head.
even at outdoor events, I'll use buds under muffs because I already have too much ringing in my ears to be happy about.

Issue with earplugs is how are you going to hear your alarms. With earbuds you get both. Lots of sony fan boys out there i have xm4 headset and now xm5 earbuds they're really over hyped devices. Although the xm4 headphones dont matter in this situation. He was asking about xm5 due to the recent ebay slick deal which I bought. 100$ and they're really not much better than 25$ discounted JBL Live Pro 2 TWS 150$ retail. I also work near loud machery where I need to still hear people I can edit the noise canceling levels with both. Yall do you though and xm5 ebay deal does have 2 year warranty

I bought these months back at $99. Loved the sound at that price but perhaps it's my ears, I couldn't find the right end to keep them in place. I was getting physical therapy and one would constantly pop out.

My jbl live true wireless 2 have better noise canceling. I got them on this site for 25 bucks. These xm5 aren't worth the price so far. Likely will return
XM5 are sweet. You HAVE to figure out your earbud tips though. For me the foam stock tips were awful. Didn't feel like i was getting good noise cancelling and they never felt secure to me and weren't comfortable. I switched to some sillicone tips by azla (SednaEarfit max) and the buds improved for me 10x. Some people like the foam tips, some people don't. You need the right size. Do all that and i doubt you'd be returning the XM5.

I bought these last time. They have trouble staying in ear.

For the price these are a no brainier steal. Excellent sound quality. Decent ANR, though not as good as Sony or Bose

Hey man, in the middle of the night, I went. i guess I'll keep trying out stock earbuds, which went with the biggest for max insulation, and it is slightly better than my jbls now. So I guess I was wrong in a way, but at the same time, if I better better ear fittings, it will improve for both. They are popular buds so xm5 will have plenty aftermarket options.

don't just look at the brand and price, how do they fit in your year and how comfortable is it after a period of time? I don't like a big button like design which stretch the ears and it hurts.

Which sedna ear fit max fits the xm5? Could you post a link, since there are a few on Amazon and it is $30, and I want to make sure I buy the correct one. Thx
