I've heard the XM5 have excellent noise cancelling, the noise cancelling here is just "ok". Benefit to these Yamahas is the excellent Yamaha sound quality and AptX Adaptive if you have supported hardware and want to game with them, with the advantage of Low Latency. I use them specifically with my Logitech G Cloud hardware that supports AptX Adaptive.

Linkbuds have poor battery life. My left earbud battery died in 1.5 years of usage and Sony has no out-of-warranty support. They neither provide paid replacement of one earbud. So I am having $150 junk. I am looking for something cheap since most of these earbuds batteries will die in a couple of years and nobody provides support outside of warranty.
Linkbuds or Linkbuds S? Totally different. And you can get Linkbuds S from Secondipity for $60, last I checked. Mine had connection issues after 1.5 years, but I usually lose or break buds before that. Battery life was fine for me.

I see XM5 buds refurb for $110. What's this $100 ebay sale people are talking about? Lost one of my XM5 buds and refuse to pay full price to replace them but for $100 I might consider it. Big fan of those guys.

These xm5 aren't worth the price so far. Likely will return. Ebay. Also i used both for work and sleep and gym. Noise canceling was about the same with the xm5 being slightly worse for me. I even tried different ear tips. Im around Noisey machery at work and snoring people when I sleep.
I'm having the same experience with the xm5's, I honestly can't tell the difference with noise canceling turned on. The sound quality is good though but for the price I'd rather get some Apple gen 2 airpods.

Was it just me or all the links in the post does not work and I get a new "closing itself in 1 sec" tab, and not going to adorama. Unlike the vudu deals, adorama site with plain search gives me $175 instead of $59....
try opening incognito or copy pasting the link. I had the same issue

Are these good or no? A lot of negative reviews on Amazon
I currently use the E5B as my daily earbuds, the E7B are the upgraded ANC version.

I have the Bose QCII earbuds and I prefer the yamaha ones over the bose ones for most days.

Guys it's $60 if you want to try them then try them. If you don't like them then just return them. Most of these headphones in this price range will mostly likely sound more V shaped to attend to the average consumer and anything in this price range won't be a upgrade over Apple air pods, xm5 or your Bose qc more of a side grade.

Anyone that can comment on call quality?

I rarely used them for calls but the one time I did, they were fine.

Why be critical of reviews, this is what the forum style is for? I don't like just buying and then having to return, it's why we end up getting open box items instead of new.

Issue with earplugs is how are you going to hear your alarms. With earbuds you get both. Lots of sony fan boys out there i have xm4 headset and now xm5 earbuds they're really over hyped devices. Although the xm4 headphones dont matter in this situation. He was asking about xm5 due to the recent ebay slick deal which I bought. 100$ and they're really not much better than 25$ discounted JBL Live Pro 2 TWS 150$ retail. I also work near loud machery where I need to still hear people I can edit the noise canceling levels with both. Yall do you though and xm5 ebay deal does have 2 year warranty
I am pretty sure you aren't protected from noise by these things, there is just a countering frequency so your brain processes a zero sound; your ears are still getting all the vibrations they typically can't counter higher frequency sounds and/or aren't responsive enough for system sharp noises (sledge on plate steel). You'll probably notice pain even if you can't hear the sound. I work in deep water vessel engine rooms, 100K+ HP engines and 2 or more 2.5kW generator sets - very loud - typically folks wear whatever ear buds they want with ear muffs over them. For sleeping, noise cancelling should be okay.
Plenty of folks don't wear proper PPE. They love working on ships because the ambient roar of machinery drowns out the constant ringing in their ears.
