This is a good entry level center speaker. Used to have it. It genuinely is worth no more than $50 imo. Doesn't hurt to get it if you are on a tight budget, it will do the job and you will probably like it.

Sure, they may be more difficult to position than a classic book but, may sound better than a $100 bookshelf ? If you like the look and they fit in they could work. I'd say get a classic pair of bookshelf's. Maybe a $2/300 set deal for $100 ballpark if ya shop.

same thought. Bought 2/$99 for near-field listening. 5" woofers, likely produce more mid-range than deep lows. Adding to my 2 x 6.5" Bestian subs ($75 for 2 on Temu) to create a 2.2 system. using the Fosi BT30D for $37. $212 for a desktop!

I bought this Xmas 2019 for a 5.2.2 setup and I agree it's amazing for the price, but it sucks for dialog.

Can the Audiophiles please explain to me the problem with this speaker? I have the set with this included. Sounds "fine" to me. Though I admittedly have no other center to compare with. Isn't it the job of the receiver to adjust the sound curve? My low end Yamaha receiver came with a little mic that it uses to fine tune the speakers. I imagine older receivers probably don't have per speaker adjustment, but isn't that standard today? Are we expecting the center to have a specific frequency response out of the box?

can you provide some context? not enough base? poor imaging? are you using it with tonal matched speakers? thanks
I had this one for almost a year. It has a lot of bassy oomph. Great for music, bad for movies. I wasn't able to adjust it to hear the actors well.
I bought Monoprice center for roughly the same price, it's less loud, but I can hear every word. So...depends on your use case I guess. If movies are not priority - this one is great

can I buy a pair to be left and right?

2 center channels and a budget Class D amp is the OG soundbar killer.

for the monoprice center that you bought, are you talking about this? https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=11948 [Monetized]

I checked their website and omg they raised prices significantly fo some stuff.
Mine is C4. It was like $80 before discount and $60 around Black Friday. For example https://slickdeals.net/f/17935620-monolith-by-monoprice-audition-c4-center-channel-speaker-each-59-99-free-shipping?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arelevance%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse
But now they priced it $189 😳

Mine just arrived today. Big WOW from me. I'm running the following Class D setup:

- DAC Aiyima T8
- AMP Aiyima A08 Pro with 3255 chipset
- Douk Audio 5 band EQ (you'll need this to tune this setup in)
- Bestian 2X 6.5 powered subs for a 2.2 setup

Currently speakers are Klipsch RP-600M's. Unplugged for this test and plugged in the Jamo's- 2 running L/R channel.

Dear god man. These thing deliver. Easily hitting peak 91dB's at less than 75% volume. The tweeter hits so hard, as do the woofers filling up all of the mid-range. You'll need to tune these so the sound stage will play well with a powered sub.

I tried running these without the 2 subs and I can say that didn't deliver enough base for my liking, but likely good enough for near-field listening. At $98, I'd declare these officially punching above their weight.
