Had a pair of Jamo bookshelf's in this style. They were very clear and sounded good for the price. But definitely pushed the highs a lot. Good speakers for the money though

Sure, they may be more difficult to position than a classic book but, may sound better than a $100 bookshelf ? If you like the look and they fit in they could work. I'd say get a classic pair of bookshelf's. Maybe a $2/300 set deal for $100 ballpark if ya shop.

This is an OK center speaker for the price, but it is muddy and I still had dialogue issues in some films. I upgraded to a Klipsch setup, admittedly 4x the cost on sale over this sale, and this Jamo is now sitting in its box in my closet.

Have this and for my needs it is a great speaker. I have it in 5.2.2 atmos + 1 sub. Are there better ones? - sure , if you want to put at least one 0 to this price. I'd still think for over 80% of the people out there this will be sufficient and is a great piece at this price.

I had this center before, if you have any hearing difficulties for speech, pass this one, it is not worth it. You'd increase the DB for the center but it is still not good and also will increase the power consumption (might not be an issue depending on the avr). I'd pass entry level speakers as well, it would be better to buy something better used. Used market for most of the speakers are not good thus better quality speakers tend to go much cheaper than new.

I agree that this is just okay in general and will be the first piece I upgrade in my Jamo 5.1.2 setup. For $50 and you don't have a center: I think it's a great price and would buy it. Pretty quiet though for dialog which is my biggest complaint but I'm also 12' from it or so.
