Wtw with these? Seems like a solid brand for a good deal. I've started my first build and think this would be good to add too it as my sole SSD

Check the m2 slot on your mobo that is fastest (i.e. direct connect to your CPU as opposed to through the chipset) can accommodate this with a heatsink. Otherwise, you'll have to remove the heatsink, so an added step. Many mobo's fastest M2 slot already has a built in heatsink, so that's why you might have this extra step.

Can't do much with 1tb anymore. Id recommend 2tb minimum.

You can get a 2tb drive whose real works performance is very similar, for about the same money. This is definitely not a good deal, they're are very few people out there who will ever make use of a proper pcie 5 SSD- this is mostly just a waste of money.

You only focused on the capacity, these are Pcie gen5 there is a speed difference in comparison gen4 is around 7500 M/bs, this is 10000 M/bs 1tb but operates much faster. 1tb isn't enough for sure but if price didn't matter why not 4tb instead of 2tb, the price for gen5 2tb would be costly therefore it's still not a bad deal to get a faster drive I guess, especially for work aside for gaming, when time = money or what not, so it's not too bad, just gotta make sure to double check if the mobo support gen5 otherwise it's just going to be waste of flavor running in gen4 speed.

PS5 needs Gen4 m.2 SSD and this is Gen5, so in terms of specs, this does meet the min for PS5... but that heatrisk seems pretty big, I don't think it'll fit even the standard PS5... you'd need to remove the heatsink and then put on a a compatible heatsink.

I recommend installing OS on 500GB SSD or slow NVME just on case u need to re-install Win. Put all programs on the fastest slot NVME. Game won't benefit on fast NVME!
