Not Available in New York.
Those in NY and CA will need to bypass the absurdity by looking for vendors that don't care and ship regardless - typically eBay.
Hopefully the federal government can someday override the absurd local regulations on insecticides and grass killers.

Bought this in April 2023 and have been using it, works great.

Paid less than $11 in 4/2023 and now, wow. I know it was in the past but more than double in two years. Inflation is scary.
link is for a 2 pack
and i payed $22 for in 24, glad i went for 2 pack back then, one is still unused

I think bifenethrin (the active ingredient in this) is actually what they put in the dog treatments and they have the ability to metabolize it. Cats can't so it's dangerous for cats while it's wet but once it's dry it doesn't transfer anymore and should be safe.
Bifenthrin is VERY poisonous to dogs. Permethrin is safe for most dogs.

Thanks for clarifying that! I don't have any pets and was getting the names mixed up.

This stuff changed my life. I buy from domyown, version called Talstar P. I don't even like going over to other people's yards in the summertime because I'm so used to no bugs in my yard.

This is a cheap (7.9% bifenthrin) water-based version that will wash away with rain. I much prefer Bifen XTS, which is an oil-based product containing 25.1% bifenthrin. Bifen XTS is more expensive, but it requires fewer frequent applications.
Just so people are clear on these two seperate products - XTS vs Bifen IT....

XTS is oil based and should not be used indoor as it will leave oil stains and much stronger smell. Bifen IT, on other hand, can be used both indoor/outdoor. Because it is not oil based, it would required bit frequent application due to washing away with water.

There are repellent and non-repellent insecticides. This is a repellent.

So it isn't effective for totally eliminating ants as they won't bring it back to their colony. It works as a perimeter barrier.
Costco has ortho home defense which I tried for a long time and it is the same ingredient as this post and I've found it isn't effective at eliminating odorous house ants.

I've used Taurus SC Fipronil Insecticide and the 20 ounce bottle is half gone and I bought it a year ago and it's extremely effective at eliminating ants.

Alpine wsg granules is also very good indoors for ants and has a higher safety profile than other professional strength insecticides

Depending on how much used, these do have expiration dates. At least after certain time the effectiveness goes down.

I use this every year to get rid of all the lightning bug larvae in my neighborhood. I got tired of hearing children outside yelling in the evenings when I was trying to listen to my programs.
