Hopefully the federal government can someday override the absurd local regulations on insecticides and grass killers.
Paid less than $11 in 4/2023 and now, wow. I know it was in the past but more than double in two years. Inflation is scary.

XTS is oil based and should not be used indoor as it will leave oil stains and much stronger smell. Bifen IT, on other hand, can be used both indoor/outdoor. Because it is not oil based, it would required bit frequent application due to washing away with water.
So it isn't effective for totally eliminating ants as they won't bring it back to their colony. It works as a perimeter barrier.
Costco has ortho home defense which I tried for a long time and it is the same ingredient as this post and I've found it isn't effective at eliminating odorous house ants.
I've used Taurus SC Fipronil Insecticide and the 20 ounce bottle is half gone and I bought it a year ago and it's extremely effective at eliminating ants.
Alpine wsg granules is also very good indoors for ants and has a higher safety profile than other professional strength insecticides
