Is this a deal? I feel like Sunlu, being one of the cheapest brands out there, is always sub $12. Right now on Amazon, its $10.19 for black PLA.

Has anyone used the PLA Meta? I thought I read it's their strongest PLA once you get it dialed inbut not the easiest to get dialed in. I have 5 or 6 rolls of it but haven't tried it yet... Mostly out of laziness as I have too much filament and just printing with the "easier" stuff first lol

Recently got a roll thinking it was PLA+, took some dialing in and still had a ton of stringing almost like PETG. Decided to dry it out overnight and the results were great. I compared it to PETG strength (almost) for my model and way better detail. I'd get it again but again, dry it out!

I second this. Get a filament dryer and dry before an extended print. I'll maybe go a couple days of printing before removing the spool and drying, but if filament is sitting out longer than that, it's worth drying first. I live in a warm, humid place though.

Meta is wreaked but you can get great layer adhesion. It ends up being much weaker but can look nice. It prints at a lower temp than normal PLA and has a lower softening point. I printed about 50kgs of it before moving on to other products. I used a good amount of kit because when dialed in it printed well and was very cheap(not sure how cheap it is now)

So… buy PLA, PLA+, or PLA+ 2.0? I've only ever used PLA (other brands). I'd prefer to use whichever would be an easy swap into a Bambu P1S and use a generic profile.

I've used a lot of the PLA+ 2.0. It prints great with the generic Bambu PLA profile, but Sunlu profiles were recently added to Bambu Studio and they help speed things up a bit.

Pla+ 2.0 is a bit weaker and more flexible. Pla+ is closer to normal pla.
I think i prefer the normal pla+ after using both quite a bit.

Filament deals were usually around $10 ish when I look last couple months. But they were usually not single spools but 4 spools buys.
