So its better to buy it on June 1 provided the deal is still active.
The fact of the matter is that Costco is actively hostile to those that sign up for Costco memberships from third party membership offers like Groupon. I am stating this based upon my own personal experience and the knowledge of others' experience to those who might sign up for this offer thinking that everything will be "automatic" and won't involve any possible hassle.

Does the above mean the $50 credit will be emailed to me within 2 weeks? Do I need to go by the store first to get the costco card to receive the $50 credit?
Edit: Costco said that I have to go by the desk and get my costco card, then in two weeks they send me the $50 credit. I think it's by email.
BTW, I used the same email I used for my old card that expired in June of 2023. When I signed into my costco accout it still showed my old membership number. You can go to account, then 'edit' the number and put in the new number groupon emails to you, then be sure to go through the verification process for it to take.
