Recommended for Beginner Play. It will play fine in intermediate, but you eventually will hit a ceiling because the shots you want to make just wont happen due to the paddle. These are good enough for casual players and about the same price as the sets on amazon. $10 a piece to carry around in the trunk of the car to play with your family.

If you are intermediate - you will know what you are looking for. Double back hand, control, power, extended, hybrid etc. Save the extra $20 and put it towards what you want.

Plenty of good options in the $50-$100 range. PM me if you want some referrals.
Friday Pickleball paddle is a good start.
theyre paddles not rackets. i play 4 times a week. ive gotten replicas of the joola 3s hyperion, modta 15, joola 4, titanium paddle like the shogun, 2 generic edgeless paddles, and a simpler $30 paddle that probably plays like a $50 paddle i put a lot of weight on as i was bored but handles well with control and pop. dont knock the knockoffs if you havent tried them and dont want go out and spend $300 per paddle..

I have one and I'm disappointed because it's a control paddle, it lacks power. Given the name i assumed power...need to resell it on ebay.

You brought a titanium paddle known for control and expected power.... Add weighted tape where you need it....

Not sure if you are joking.

But I would recommend a <10$ fiberglass paddle for beginners.

I would avoid wood paddles at all cost. They are loud, heavy, and vibrate. Vibrations may cause sore arms, hands, and weaken grip. They vibrate enough to discourage potential players from wanting to play again.

That being said, free is free. But know that it may be at the expense of interest in the sport. Any fiberglass paddle will be better than a wooden one.

I would not spend more than $15 for a fiberglass paddle.
$20-<$50 find a carbon fiber temu/ali/amazon paddle with T700 grit. Visingur, Juciao, jojolemon etc. knock off. (gen 1-1.5 paddles)

$50-$100 - pickeball poker, Friday Paddle. Friday has some very good bang for your buck paddles. (gen 1.5-3)

$100 - $125 VaticPro, PhD, other small brands (gen 1-2)

PM me if you want recommendations.

Actually i was joking and at the same didnt know much about pickle ball paddles. I've never even played it before until i got the free ones from tmobile. I got 2 sets from them and 2 paddles had broke off the handle already. Nevertheless, i am a beginner and i am not looking to spend too much on the paddles either. Its nice to know to go for fiberglass type. Thanks

I got about 6 pairs of T-Mobile paddles and they still work for me. Haven't broken yet. I didn't buy one cheap one for the wife so her arms don't hurt when she hits. The wooden ones are heavy
