They can be had fairly easily now though at or below MSRP after the scalping fiasco last year, but you will be adding $70-$90 on top of this price.

I had a ps5 slim from a previous GameStop deal around 2024 by trading in a fat og ps5 (basically a $20 ish upgrade for a fresh warranty)
Traded it in to GameStop which gave me $395 credit. Also traded an s which gave about $250 credit.
Bought the pro. I personally don't think it's worth it if you are paying out of pocket and no trade bonuses.
I traded my disc slim ps5 as a digital since it gave the same $395
Kept the disc drive for the pro. Also, Sony didn't even include a stand for the pro. Same stupid clips as the slim
I have a base model, but wouldn't mind paying the extra for a more "VR2" focused console. Just not sure it's worth the additional cost.

MOST of the differences require zoomed in photo mode to see, during normal gameplay you'd be hard pressed to see a difference. Some games do look better and can run a little higher resolution, but not worth the expense imo.
