I don't do video editing. I only do browsing the web and programming / Data Analytics / Software Engineering / Excel spreadsheets, SQL, Power BI etc etc.
If the M4 Air you'd be looking comes with just 16GB RAM/256GB SSD, you may want to look at how far you're pushing the memory pressure with your heaviest workloads to see how often you're in yellow or red territory. 256GB might be something outgrown sooner rather than later if you don't offload most things to the cloud. Having 512GB SSD space also means it'll stay less full and therefore maintain its performance better than a fuller 256GB SSD.

24GB RAM will help if your workloads eat up a lot of memory (including running multiple virtual machines). Some video editing tasks do eat up more RAM.

It all depends on your use cases.

I ordered the silver 15 inch one at costco. I think I'll stick with it and then maybe also get an external display. I'll have to wait and see. I really didn't know what to pick between the 13 and 15 but I looked at people doing web dev and other work and it seemed like quite a few liked the 15 extra space so I went with that.
I havent owned a laptop in years.
Since it's a laptop, I wanted to prioritize not putting as much weight on an external USB-C display, since I won't likely be lugging that around with me unless I'm traveling and working out of a hotel or coffee shop with a fair amount of table space. That's why I've opted for the 15". Having used both, I found I enjoyed the larger display for a variety of things: 4 windows in quadrants are larger and easier to read, videos (especially sports) can be more immersive/enjoyable, and text is just going to be that much better and easier to read.

It's still pretty portable, but the 13" definitely will feel more at home in more scenarios when out and about.

I got to admit, bigger screen size aside, being in stock in silver for my pricematch at BB and seeing that the % off was more than the 13" made it feel like more of a value, but there really isn't a right or wrong choice. It all depends on your use cases.

Ill likely not end up trying the 13, so If it doesn't work out I wont know what I'm missing lmao.
I definitely had to go with silver, as someone who has never owned a macbook I figured Id get the quintessential macbook color.

Did you price adjustment one item out of stock via chat?

No, it was not out of stock. Better to try nonetheless.

Yes, just realized that too when buy the 13" MBA deal. Since when Costco changed that? remember it allowed when buy online.
Someone on Reddit mentioned it was taken out around the time Discover started to offer the 5% back for warehouses.

Also ended up buying the laptop with the 3 years of AppleCare+ (for the next few years of school)

I price matched to BB to use up $75 in certificates and 18 month 0 interest financing. Replacing a 2017 MacBook Pro 16GB 512GB that can't hold much of a charge anymore and has the Touch Bar flicker

Did you trade in the old machine? How much did you get for it?

It's worth $100, I'll probably trade it in for a gift card later

Hmm. Everything except midnight out of stock. I wonder if they'll restock the other colors prior to 6/8? I'd personally rather buy from Costco than pricematch at Best Buy

In for 1 in the midnight. I was looking the last few months for a macbook pro with 1tb/32gb ram like the microcenter deal, but this is hard to pass up for the money. I'm using my bestbuy card to take advantage of some of the offers I didn't realize it had to activate. One offer gives $50 best buy card for purchases over $750 outside bestbuy, and another $40 for 2 purchased outside bestbuy. Purchased a amazon gift card for myself on the 2nd transaction, so that translates to $90 in bestbuy credits I'll get. I'm using the laptop just for Ableton.
