PS systems do updates but it's all done in one click. PS also let you have an option to automatically update while sleeping. Whenever I wake up PS, I play games. No need to wait. In addition, you said Windows can do multiple things. That's the problem. Because you log in to your banks on Windows, you need to update. I don't do anything but playing games on my PS. Hackers know they get nothing by hacking into PS. Risks are far less in PS than PCs.
People here are paying less than $500 for PS5 Pro. You can build an equally powerful PCs (16GB+2GB memory, 2TB ssd, gpu as good as Radeon RX6800) under $500 ... in your dreams.
-$100 off via Amex
-10% off coupon ($70)
-($25) from that contest that sent out $25 via Dell Rewards
-15% CB ($94.49) from the site that shall not be named, but starts with C. Now, all I did was leave the Dell page open on the PS5 Pro and would check every so often throughout the day to see if it would change from Out of stock. While waiting on that page, I started receiving emails about buying the PS5 Pro via their link at 15% off. Thankfully, the item came back in stock, and I jumped on that deal! It will be a few weeks before the item ships, but I see the CB pending, and the order # is already attached to it.
Slick deal indeed!
