if only it had a touchpad it'd be perfect. Logitech is the only brand afaik that ever offered a wireless keyboard with built in touchpad but discontinued it for some reason.

Is the size of this layout similar to a regular keyboard without the number pad?

You scared me! I use the k400 which is, for now, still available at their website. I'm gonna get a backup.

There are offerings at amazon if you search wireless keyboard with touchpad, but I cannot speak to the quality.

I've been using https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FSKZVRG as my multimedia remote for a couple of years. It is solid for this purpose. I can't compare it to others for day-to-day use.

It has a bit of a learning curve if you're not used to it, but for pointing devices integrated into keyboards the best I've come across is the ThinkPad Keyboard II, which comes with a trackpoint. It's considerably smaller than a trackpad board.

The trackpoint on it works vastly better than the trackpad in my Logitech board (K830) which is truly awful — it shows up as a generic mouse instead of a trackpad to the computer it's hooked up to, gestures are super flaky, and the plastic surface has a ton of friction compared to a laptop trackpad. Maybe the K400's trackpad is better, I don't know, but after how bad the K830's was I'm not inclined to try.

Yea I don't ever use the number pad lol. Was trying to find out if this keyboard was basically normal size without the number pad. I'd buy asap if so

i have 3 of those and they're amazing! just missing the backlight. they did offer a version with backlighting, the K830, but they discontinued it for some reason.

oh wow, you actually have a K830? i've been wanting one for years but have been forced to use a few K400's across devices. i have zero issues with the trackpad on the K400, but i have no idea if it's the same quality as the one on the K830. that's really disappointing to hear. the K400 touchpad definitely isn't as good as a typical laptop touchpad, but it's completely usable for laying in bed using a computer hooked up to a TV.

Yeah, I bought it several years ago because it seemed like a good option for a media center keyboard/mouse. It's definitely usable, but for me at least was frustrating enough that I replaced it with a ThinkPad Keyboard II after a year or two. It's been sitting in the closet ever since.
