I might have to snag these. My first gen Airpod Pro's are pretty much toast. I was originally thinking about switching to the Pixel Buds Pro 2 since I'm a Pixel user, but I've been reading some reviews that describe them as lackluster compared to the Airpods Pro 2.

Anyone had experience using these in hearing aid mode for mild hearing loss? Setup requires an apple device and app, but my understanding is once set up they can be used on an Android device as well.
I haven't tried using them for any non-Apple devices but from what I understand, the hearing aid mode can only be turned on or off using an Apple device. So once it's on, it will stay on. There are some settings adjustments that probably require an Apple device, like ambient noise reduction and L/R balance, but I think amplification can be set to be adjusted via the airpod's capacitive controls.

The hearing aid mode is quite nice. I've had hearing loss since I was a child and never got around to getting hearing aids. Using these let me know just how much I've been 'missing'. I can finally hear whispers and footsteps, and people speaking in large spaces sound very clear. I don't know how regular hearing aids sound, but I do have to turn it off when typing away on the keyboard. The sound of my own and other's clothes rustling, breathing, tapping on the table can get overwhelming and annoying sometimes. Overall, they've been very helpful for me and I like that I can still use it as noise canceling headphones with great sound quality. I might try to get a doctor's note to see if I can purchase the gen 3 Pros with insurance or FSA funds.

Target will accept returns on opened headphones if you find that these aren't to your liking.

I don't know, but it seems like that's the kind of thing that would arise within the one year hardware warranty. So I wouldn't be too concerned. If you have an issue, take him to the Apple Store and swap them for a new pair. If you're still concerned after the initial warranty, you could always pay $15 for an extra year of Applecare+ - https://www.apple.com/support/pro...eadphones/

One bud just stopped working right after warranty and apple wouldn't cover it. I'd buy a different brand instead

I have the AirPod pro 1 lasted me 4 years until one of them started having issues
It's still usable for meetings

I was gonna wait for the pro 3
Is it worth waiting for pro 3?
Most likely, Pro 3 will be more expensive, around $299. The pro-3 improvements may not be worth spending an extra $150. I am going to grab this deal.

My Airpods 2 left bud needs to be on full volume to hear normal levels. I checked my Chase CC benefits and luckily, it includes 1 extra year of extended warranty. Went and filed a claim last week and got full amount directly to my bank account.

Well do you need them now? If you don't need them now, they basically hit this price every other month on sale. While we don't know if tariffs will affect the pricing, but the Pro 2's have probably dropped to this price 50 times now imo.

Gonna grab these and if pro 3 is good then get those also and use these as back up. My pro 1 quality seems to be going down.
