Air pods pro 2 will have the health/aid capability once the feature is released. These are $190 everywhere currently.

I understand there is a software update coming but my question is a little bit more specific. 1) does the current model (the one's slightly discounted in this post) act as a semi-professional grade hearing aid (not just software-like features) and 2) does the software update enable you to obtain the free testing?

Perhaps that's what the software *does* but I wasn't sure.

So if Airpods Pro 3 is not right around the corner, why is the bottom falling out of the Pro 2 prices so quickly?

My guess would be because the AirPods 4 with ANC will retail for $179 and have all the same features as the pro 2 except for the silicone ear tips which is really more of a personal preference.
