No. Most if not all 2 ton units are going to be 220 volts. This is only a 110 volt system. Second is that is does not provide enough watts. Third is that the batteries would only provide enough power for about 30 minutes of use.
Probably not - those usually draw closer to 2kW, which is beyond what the panels can provide. The initial surge would likely be beyond the inverter capacity as well.

You could *maybe* run a 1 ton unit with this set up on a sunny day

I am thinking about doing solar for my garden/chicken coop area. I have a small 12v motor home pump for a sand well (1.2 gpm), 2 -25 watt heater plates for the chickens in the winter and the big one is a 1hp water pump that uses about 1000w but only about 30 minutes every couple days. I use it to pump water out of my holding tank to water the garden when it's dry. I'm not sure if this can handle the initial surge for the pump and wonder if anyone has any experience doing that. I'm also looking at the ecoflow delta 2 max but not sure how it compares with this one. Noob to solar so trying to figure out if I can do i this instead of trenching and running 400' of romex.

I'm no expert, but a good sized capacitor could help with the surge. I remember using them in car audio for amps and subs, and it is the same principle.

I would go with the trenching a wire idea instead of solar. Upsize the wire to help with voltage drop. And don't use romex, use UF type wire.

I question why anyone would buy something this expensive over ebay. I would only buy it from a known reputable seller or direct from the manufacturer. I'd worry about warranty issues, and being able to dispute the charge on my credit card if the product was defective.

Probably 8/2 UF wire will probably do it. But i would probably go with 6/2. Just in case you want to add more out there in the future.
