Just buy it, it's awesome. Bluetooth sync is fast and seamless on my iPhone - just expand the dock and slide in the phone - it automatically turns on and pairs by the time my phone is set in the dock. Controls feel really nice. Great battery life. I hear its amazing with a Switch, if you got lucky enough to score one from Costco. I don't know how/why people pay $150 for these things from other companies. Gamesir killed it.

I use mine for Steam Link when I want to game on the couch. I have a pretty robust home network, so even platforming games don't suffer from latency.

I loved my original G8 so much, I bought a second one, just in case.

Insane price, I've tried basically all the controllers for my spare phone and the G8 is by far the best and does not feel like a toy. Great grips, great d-pad, great buttons. Highly recommend! Bought a second one as well. I also have a g cloud for steam link but I am reluctant to use it since the G8 feels so much better.

Really amazing product, well packaged and feels premium, even comes with spare joysticks, got mine today, streaming my PS5 using chiaka while I'm in the bathroom, now this is so much better than buying ps portal.

good controller. fits 8 inch tablet like alldocube mini, lenovo y700 or kindle fire hd8. has option to detach hook and use 10 inch tablets. initial setup can be learning curve but ds4 mode works for pxplay, xcloud and apollo+moonlight/artemis. in big steam mode, you have install a driver to get rumble working and also put a setting for steam to think xbox controller has been connected in ds4 mode. look up on reddit. If you have snapdragon 8th gen 2 and above in your device, apollo has low latency mode. With tailscale, you can play remotely over internet. altogether this is a cheaper handheld setup for anywhere gaming. Rumble works in above apps as well. some drawbacks i feel is lack of battery indicator in ds4 mode, accidental turbo mode, need to charge with controller closed but pros outweigh cons by a lot.

Placed an order, thanks! Winlator with older PC games works great on my SD 7 plus gen 2 phone. For example, Live For Speed gets 80-110 fps without AA but in 2400x1080 resolution. Now, with this gamepad it should be comfortable to play.

For anyone who wants to get this to fit a tablet, you don't have to disassemble it at all. Search YT for "How To Maximize Your GameSir G8+ Usage - Rumble, LEDs, Xbox Mode, and more!" by Game Tech Talk, and about 1min in or so he shows you how to expand it without damaging or disassembly, it's ridiculously easy. No need to file down anything, unscrew anything, and it snaps back into place perfectly. Worked great for my Surface Pro. Unfortunately with portrait mode it's a bit wonky feeling in my hands, so sticking with phone for now, but it's great to know it's an option.
