I have a surface pro tablet from work that I don't use, halfway debating trying it out with this but doubt it'll fit lol
I have an HDMI dummy plug that does 4K/120hz, so when I want to use Steam Link, I just turn off my gaming PC monitors and it "draws" the display on the dummy plug. Lets me use the whole system headerless. I like Steam Link because launching the app on my devices will pull up my gaming PC in Big Picture Mode, which is designed around controllers. I also have the option to exit Big Picture Mode and just get my full desktop.
To top it all off, you can run Steam Link on any Windows machine too (linky [steamcommunity.com]). I have a Trigkey G5 mini-PC that I put a bare Windows 10 install on it and use it to access my gaming PC from pretty much anywhere.
You can mod the G8 to fit tablets up to 12" in width. Here is the reddit thread covering it [reddit.com] and you can check the YouTube link as well [youtube.com]. I did this with one of mine so that I could use my Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. It works great.
There is no wired G8+. The non plus G8 Galileo is wired.

With Artemis and Apollo, you don't need a dummy plug. It can make a virtual display based on whatever the client requests as a resolution. I can go from my pixel phone to an iPad mini without fuss and I can stream non steam games. Can also run headless and won't use my monitor at my desk while streaming. This setup already has Big Picture mode and Desktop as default apps to launch. It's easy to set up and has more nitty gritty configurable options than steam link app. I can pull up and use the soft keyboard from my phone and it'll send that to my PC, I can send a lot of basic pre-baked windows commands to it like Open Task Manager, Shutdown, etc

It's both, if you connect via USB C, then it inputs directly to device. Otherwise (and probably normally) it's Bluetooth - I had same question because the title cha he's for me on the browse screen vs thread string where one says wired and one says Bluetooth

This and XBPlay is going to give my SteamDeck some competition! Super excited to have while Deck is getting RMA'd (I dropped it; hard to be mad anywhere other than myself..)
Mobile/couch gaming is really where it's at for me these days. So much easier and honestly works great when the wife and I are watching something on the TV I'm only halfway paying attention to. Literally the difference between having to find something else to do and occasionally piping up some comment on trash TV where I just have to confirm those people really are as dumb as the words coming out of their mouths XD
Pull the controller all the way out, just bend the controller mid section away from you. It will pop out and springs are strong, naturally it will want to bring the controller back together.
Because I wanted to play games on the couch while the wife watches TV and I would feel bad leaving her alone.
Granted, it would probably be a lot easier and cheaper to just buy a sofa and TV for the gaming room, but I needed the network upgrade anyways!

This feature allows the gamepad to work with touch-only games. I've tested it with Skul and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
However, it didn't work very well with Wild Rift, since the game requires tapping to select targets (like enemies), which a gamepad can't directly replicate.
I haven't played Brawl Stars, so I'm not completely sure, but if it doesn't rely heavily on tap-to-select mechanics, it might work better.
