It's such a shame WB sold this film off. It was genuinely great—especially if you're a fan of the old-school cartoons. The problem was the studio that picked it up didn't have the budget to promote it, so most people didn't even know it was in theaters. Still, it's definitely worth the purchase if you're a fan or if you have kids.
I saw it in theatres with my kids and it was a day one purchase for me. If you appreciate old-school screwball Daffy Duck, you are doing a disservice by NOT seeing this film. This is NOT Space Jam (which was good, but was not done in the same vein as this project). This film was made with love and and respect to old Porky and Daffy cartoons. Sure, it's a barebones release, but like the above poster stated, the studio that bought it from WB had a small budget. And, if nothing else, this film and that studio are the SOLE REASON why "Coyote v. Acme" is getting released next year. I'm sure you could do a lot worse with $14.

Got to see it in theaters and loved it. Most older folks would feel a sense of heavy nostalgia from seeing it. Like you said, too bad it wasn't promoted since it could have been a sleeper hit.

So this is a new movie, which of course means the voices are not original. How good are the replacement voices? The trailer has a few lines of Daffy, but not enough of substance. Do you just feel that "well that's not Daffy, something's wrong" like you do with the current Kermit voice by Matt Vogel (how horrible he is as Kermit). I want the classic antics with believable voices that a great Mel Blanc once did. I know people die and voices have to be substituted, but I should be able to close my eyes and hear voices like Arnel Pineda singing Journey and totally believe it's Steve Perry!

OMG, I had no idea Coyote v Acme is now getting a release. I was so disappointed when WB took the tax write-off or whatever. Was interested in picking this up eventually, but screw it, buying now just to support the company.
Also, those talking about the spirit of the old screwball Daffy and voices and stuff, this should be close to the Looney Tunes Cartoons show on Max. There should be some clips/episodes on YouTube, so feel free to check it out for an idea.

Was a fun movie, really disappointed to read this about the bluray:

Maintaining the Ketchup Entertainment curse of lossy audio, The Day the Earth Blew Up is sadly saddled with a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Luckily it's at least encoded at a semi-robust 640kpbs which places it well above typical DVD quality, and to my ears still packs a sporadically heavy punch due to the abundance of sci-fi action and adventure on display here. Dialogue is clean and crisp -- except for that above-mentioned slight gauziness of Bauza's character voices, which is unavoidably -- and effects are well-prioritized, from forceful explosions to the heavy roar of flamethrowers (above) and Daffy's habitual tendency to "Woo-hoo!" all up in the side and rear channels. The original score and soundtrack, credited to composer Joshua Moshier with occasional classic song cuts by the likes of Bryan Adams, R.E.M. and others, also adds its own weight when needed. While it's inarguable that a lossless track would've been ideal (especially in its listed original 7.1 format as heard in theaters), this downmix still makes for a decent listen.

Yup, in case you didn't get a chance to find any relevant articles about "Coyote", here's one:
https://deadline.com/2025/03/coyo...236354552/

You're also correct about TDTEBU being in similar vein "Looney Tunes Cartoons" because the film's director (Peter Browngardt) and the music composer (Joshua Moshier) both worked on that series.
