Was at my local Costco and saw this for 999.99+ tax. MN
They didn't seem to go on sale often and cheaper than the last deal posted by 100$. Home Depot and Amazon for 1249. More expensive at Costco online 1099 then in store but if you are in the market for one may be worthwhile to check. YMMV depending on what's in stock.
It's an outdoor kamado style charcoal grill.

I would buy for $999 but sadly, Costco is showing $1,099 for me which is Amazon's cheapest price at one time.
This kamado is super efficient. compared to a regular kettle, a regular kettle cannot cut off the airflow when you're done cooking because it just was not designed for that. That means you will burn whatever fuel you have remaining in it.
Of course, this kamado is not for everyone. But you do get what you pay for. The fit and finish and quality of parts on this Kamado makes the kettle look like a child's toy

This Kamado is definitely superior to a classic Weber kettle, but you can definitely save charcoal by shutting off the vents. Unless your bottom vents are bent upwards or pretty rusty, you'll be able to save charcoal no problem with the classic as well. I think I'll eventually bite the bullet and buy a Kamado style grill but my kettles more than get the job done.
