And the "rebate" isn't really a rebate, more of a store credit in that you can only spend it at Menards.

That too only in store. Can't order online with it. Though the credit never expires.

Forget the rebate*, the sale price of these is $3.36 which is a damn good deal.
Don't order online, just go to a store that has stock to save on their S&H fees.

*Even better if you're doing their ongoing rebates and bundle this with other purchases and receipts and send them all in in one envelope to save on postage costs.

Menards has also recently changed their rebate policies so the rebate submissions are good one year past the date of purchase. You can collect rebates for a few months and then send them all in together.

Funny thing is they've actually honored them for about a year out for a few years now despite what the policy previously stated. My FIL told me he's been sending them in late for years and they have never not sent the rebate.

That's my problem with Menard's. I do like their stores and the mix of things they carry, and some of their prices are good. I just can't stand their deceptive advertising, claiming you get this price*** but that really isn't the case, since their rebate isn't a cash rebate like they make it out to be, but a store-only credit, which seems extremely antiquated and misleading.

Maybe I'm the only one but I did have a $20 rebate not come once. Between that, their brand selection for power and hand tools, return shenanigans because I had used a measly $5 "rebate" in paying for a $500 purchase (insisted they could only give me store credit on a defective $200 item, citing a policy they couldn't find in writing or posted anywhere), and the location of area stores, I'm more inclined to go to HD usually.

**"Of course they have plenty of fine print that you shouldn't need to worry about. They've been sued for how they advertise, including by multiple states I think, but I don't know where any of that has gone.

Great deal. Wish they had the same for T25 bits - I'm avoiding Phillips as much as possible

Are these all same sized bits? Why would one buy 15 of the same bit? In case they get lost?

They wear out. Driving a bunch of #2 deck screws will eat them up quick. You will want a fresh bit when you start striping out every other screw you drive. If I am trying to remove a screw, I go for a fresh bit if I think at all it will be hard.

$3 for 15 bits or just 20 cents each? I grabbed 3 and should have grabbed more. It is not like these go stale..

I can only wish that I did enough screwing to need this.
