That's what she said
Hmmm this is pretty small...
Yep, to me that's what made them unique. I've never seen a small size tote made solid like these nor anywhere near this price point.... I hate filling a medium size tote only half full which takes up more room in my rig. These were perfect for my uses.

You think the clear ones will yellow over time? You notice any difference in thickness between the clear and black?
I weigh them and the black version is 0.2 oz heavier in average. Its not much at all.

Don't keep these in well below freezing temperatures. The lid on mine cracked after a few years in the garage

My local HD must have received a new shipment, which would hopefully indicate that these are not being closed out. Yesterday the website showed only 1 available for shipping, and today there are now 267 clear ones available. Black still shows not available there (yet?). Price is unchanged at $2.50.

Placed an order -- Home Depot website said that the store had 100+ totes in inventory. A few minutes later, got a voicemail & email from the store that totes were unavailable. Refund will take 3-5 business days. Ugh!
My local store restocked, so hopefully others will do as well.

This happened to me as well it showed they had 131 in stock. A few minutes later, I got an email from the store that they were unavailable. The refund was coming. Later that afternoon had a friend who went into the store who lives very close to the store and said he saw a lot of them hundreds that matches their count. Was busy two days later placed an order and this time with him a few minutes I got an email saying they were ready I can report this for my Home Depot that this is not the first time it's happened. It's almost like they don't want to complete the order the pick and choose with order to fill. Lol. That or they don't know their store and they go and look for the product and I can't find it.

I think this deal really exposes how poorly Home Depot's online inventory system works. As I'd previously posted, placed an order at a store that supposed has 100+ in stock, and that order was cancelled. A couple days later, placed an order at a different store -- after 3 days, no update on when it would be ready for pick up, so I cancelled. Over this past weekend, placed another order at yet another store that showed 100+ in stock. This store was nearby, so I went out to do chores, expecting to get a notification within 2 hours.

Didn't get a notification, but I was out-and-about anyway, so I just went to the store. As it turned out, they had 0 of the black totes (that's what I'd been ordering), but lots of the clear totes. I said f*ck it and bought clear totes and cancelled that third online order.

These were not on clearance. The sign has regular color not yellow, and said Father's Day sale

Thanks for the headsup on new shipment. My closest store has them now, so I'll pick up a few more.
