I don't know if they've changed to a better hose since I got one a few years ago but they not only had a clip on the vacuum side that was different than every other manufacturer but the end of the hose didn't fit ANYTHING I found. I think I ended up extending the hose with a septic line and duct tape.

At this point I would wait for a deal on a Dewalt stealthsonic if you can. They leapfrogged everyone by making a shop vac as quiet as the eurodogs like Festool and Fein.

That will still probably be a higher price point even if a deal pops tho

The Stanley 5 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum - metal version, was on sale last week for same price, but it's back up to $84 99 now , seems like a decent unit.
