Great looking and playing bass, features a push/pull active/pass 3 band EQ (3 band only in active mode) with 2 Jackson Humbucking pickups. These are full size 34" scales length with a compound Laurel fingerboard radius of 12-16" . These basses have Nyatoh bodies and, Jackson High Mass bridge, the electronics offers all the punch, rumble, and grunt to your sound you'll need! These are going to be in excellent condition but may have some light surface scratches. No case or gig bag.
With a modern style, flexible tone, and incomparable value, the Jackson X Series Spectra Bass SBX IV takes the adventurous player on a bold bass odyssey, launching a commanding all-new entry in Jackson's formidable neck-through-body bass lineup.

The offset Spectra Bass body style was designed with the gigging musician in mind. Its nyatoh body has a larger upper horn that evenly distributes weight throughout the instrument for perfect balance and playing comfort. The graphite-reinforced through-body maple neck with scarf joint creates formidable sustain, with a speed neck contour, 12"-16" compound radius laurel fingerboard, and 24 jumbo frets for superior playability.

The SBX IV provides a full-sonic spectrum for even the most versatile and progressive bassists. Dual passive medium-output humbucking pickups create a dynamic foundation with punch, power, and note articulation. The wide-ranging tonal command comes from a two-way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, 3-band active EQ, blend control, and volume control with a push/pull selector to bypass or engage the active circuit for the 3-band EQ. The push/pull selector eliminates the risk of losing sound due to a dead battery. A quick pull on the volume knob bypasses the active circuit, making it easy to regain sound from the bass without the use of battery power.

This four-string bass also features a HiMass™ hardtail bridge that enhances sustain and improves attack.

Featuring a unique 2x2 black headstock with an understated "J" logo, the budget-friendly SBX IV comes in new stage-conquering Gloss Black or Matte Army Drab finishes with black hardware.

These have zero warranty and are used. Not sure why they are posted here. Sure are ugly in just blah black and drab green.

They're used in the same sense that every guitar in store you buy from guitar center is also used, since they display them and let anybody play them, so it's more "open-box" than used, and since there are multiple available at a decent price, for the right person this can be considered a great deal.

There is also a 2-year warranty available for $29 if you need it.

While I can't argue about the warranty, as someone who purchased an drab green version a few weeks ago, I can attest that my bass came wrapped in the box like new and included all the original accessories. I'm personally a fan of the green, and you absolutely can not be the features of this bass for the price point. Absolutely worth it.

Franklin Guitar Works buys surplus from Fender and other manufacturers. The guitars are usually new in box and sealed by the manufacturers. They are sold as used and without a warranty. I bought several items from Franklin with no issues. This is likely a much better deal on a neck through bass of this quality than you will find elsewhere. Franklin is a company to watch if you are looking for guitar and bass gear.

took a gamble on the black one when it was at 175 and pretty disappointed. 200 should be the normal price on these as i see nothing better about it to put it in the 500 bracket. the frets on mine weren't sharp, but there was buzz up and down the fret board. some frets were slightly raised, but i can usually get around this by raising the action and relief a touch. however, even after setting both of these way more than Jackson factory specs, there was still buzz. looks like the neck itself is either twisted or warped or something. i'm not new to doing setups either, do all my basses for years and i know when something's off, though i don't do more advanced work with fret repair or neck repair.
even if there were no issues, it feels cheap. the tuners, knobs, and bridge all have a cheap plasticy feel to them and none of them turn smoothly. just feels cheap all around. consistent with a 200$ bass. my affinity jazz is better and would recommend that over this jackson any day.
pros-lightweight, comfy, sounds pretty good
