Weird. I have an iPad Air 2 that came out in 2014. It still works just fine.

That is funny. I bought my ipad pro in 2017 and -knock on the wood- it is running pretty good. I do not have any issues with youtube videos (though I have youtube premium). All the other apps are working fine. I cannot believe that after 8 years I can still use it.

lol, I think I am just spoiled.

It runs, but I will notice the hiccup and delays. I usually use an M4 ipad so I am jus used to the M4 responsiveness.
I still use the 2018 iPad (right now on a youtube) and it is running fine on ios 25 beta even. just not as "responsive"

M4 is desktop class performance, in a crippled software environment. Of course everything will be smooth, it's too much for a tablet OS. Even A17 is extremely fast and that's a fraction of the speed. The 2018 you have is ancient, and well below even 2020 apple processors. It's not only the CPU, but also memory bandwidth and IO.

It seems like the free AirPods or pencil is limited to the iPad Air and iPad Pro models, not the basic iPad. Has anyone gotten this to work on the $329 iPad?

I bought an open box for $265 with a $130 trade in on my old 9th generation (best buy). What happens if I return the new iPad? I bought a fair condition hoping the box or a cord was missing and the iPad is like new. I'm going tomorrow.

My guess is they only refund your cash price and your trade in either goes to best buy credit or you never get anything back???
