I literally just finished this on audible yesterday. Decent book overall, makes you feel like a shit dad in some parts, some advice is a little unrealistic, but overall good book. What I took from it for anyone still reading this comment, is 1. I'm doing a good job and 2. It's a good reminder to do your best.

As I stated in the Daily Stoic thread https://slickdeals.net/f/18346330-the-daily-stoic-366-meditations-on-wisdom-perseverance-the-art-of-living-ebook-2, I read this every day. I highly suggest it!

I have to assume that what is effectively Stoicism for Dads is better than Machiavelli for Moms, which is also on sale for 1.99: https://www.amazon.com/Machiavell...B008J4KYQE

(The author of M for M is/was a divorce attorney. Caveat emptor.)

Bandit single-handedly made me feel more inadequate as a father than any other tv dad in the history of tv dad's.

Is there a way I can buy it for my dad and send it to him in the 1970s?

I just purchased and was able to answer a question I had:

"I recommend that you begin on the page with the date you are presently holding this book. (Don't wait until January 1! Start today!)"

I wasn't sure if it built up towards the end or what. But appears that you can pick up wherever.

Thanks op. Gonna screenshot it daily and share with my group text of best friends who are all also fathers

I'm constantly reminded "You're no Bandit" by my 13yr old daughter. Thansk for saving me the read.

A Dad joke should be included for each day.
