Yup. I actually prefer the eagles due it its durability, but most prefer the buffalos because of the pure 24k gold.

Visually I very much prefer the buffalo. I love the St gaudens design but the Eagle head is horrible. The original Eagle design was much better in my opinion. I really don't care about the durability. Its not like I have them out of the case and flipping em around like pocket change.

I'm just curious what you all do with the coin after purchase, just locker it up as investment or sell it elsewhere for profit or keep the coins handy for liquidation later...or something else?

You can turn for immediate profit if you truly want. 2% cash back c.c plus 2% Costco rewards puts the actual cost at more than $100 less. Any coin dealer will give you spot + a little bit for a buffalo, therefore you are ahead probably by $50 or so immediately at a gold spot price of $3350, therefore this is instant profit.

Or, like most of us, you can just wait for gold to be 4k or 10k as the gov prints ridiculous amounts of money to pay for gov debts in excess of 5 trillion per year.

Gold took two years to go from 2000 to 2100, but only 3 months to go from 3000 to 3500. Draw your own conclusions

The best answer would be "Yes". Because all of those might be accurate for someone. I have all/most of my stuff in safety deposit box. I do not have the option for an adequate home safe and a box is usually very cheap from your bank. The idea is to sell later at a profit. With the buy/sell mark up as much as it is, you don't short term or day trade these unless you are just trying arbitrage for a possible small quick profit or credit card miles/points.

Both are out of stock now. But just wait a few hours or a day or so and they'll be available again at higher adjusted price.
