Highly likely that it is a Barracuda drive.

If you care, look for an 18TB external that is likely to be an Exodus.

How does this compared to WD Elements?

This is 12tb more at 26tb vs 14tb. If you need more space, go with this one.

WD is usually better in terms of reliability. I personally have had seagate fail on me twice. I have about 10 WD drives in my NAS without any issues for the past 2-3yrs

Bummer that the warranty is only 12 months (USA).

Buyers beware! I just bought a 24tb Seagate drive that failed within a week. I returned it for a warranty replacement and got a brand new replacement. That second drive just failed within a week and I'm in the process of returning the replacement drive.
It's not worth the hassle. Seagate has no quality control. Buy a WD drive.

My adventurous Hellgate(Seagate) is just opened(arrived) and I'm so scared of opening it

Although the price is so tempting, I have to remind myself of the numerous times I've gotten burned using Seagate's 3.5" external HDDs due to their dodgy reliability.

Just curious, what was the problem?
