You can't even talk to other players. This whole nintendo ecosystem is dumb.

This is a funny fiction. Let's pretend like mobile game companies don't scientifically engineer addiction/gambling machines, Microsoft doesn't buy up studios right and left in their blackhole maw, Sony didn't throw all its eggs into the live service basket only to pull the plug basically wasting this gen. Valve... well Steam used to be the worst most anti-consumer piece of shit a long time ago, people just forget, lol. They also literally tried to integrate paid mods into Steam; people have such short term memories, it's funny.
Well, in Microsoft's case, it ends up being pro consumer. Just ask Playstation players. 😉

If I buy three years and convert it to, for example, the family plan (just an example) - does it reduce my subscription by some ratio? Like with Game Pass Core and Ultimate. 2:1. Or would I pay whatever difference and still have three years of whatever upgraded service? And is the price showing on the upgrade page the price per year or price in total for an upgrade?
The OP explained this better but it was removed when edited for a front page deal. (See below)

I just bought 2 of these codes at $12.02 applied them to my account and the upgrade to the Expansion Pass showed $13.54. Converting to 365 days from 2 years.
Then I bought a 3rd and applied the code to my account. Now it shows $0.00 for the expansion pass for 365 Days.

The two family plans also show discounted rates

"Conversion is $.05 per day, so 365 x .05 = $18.25. You pay about 12 per card and are saving like $6 per card when you convert to upgrade to a higher tier subscription. The $18.25 would apply to the higher tier membership you are upgrading to. So if it's 50 a year for thr membership tier you want, you would buy 2 of these, convert for like $36.50, and pay the difference of $13.50. So instead of $50 you would pay, 12 + 12 + 13.5 = $37.50"

There are many different devices that can play GameCube, with more enhancements than Nintendo will offer, so I'd hardly call it exclusive.
They probably meant between NS and NS2. What's more, this is the only official way to emulate GC, so calling it exclusive is rather fair.

Dear god please have some decency and don't give Nintendo your money. They are the most anti-consumer gaming company out there.
Support whatever you enjoy, I enjoy Nintendo made games.

Right. They're acting as if every other company is sharing their profits with consumers.

Does anyone know if there is a cooldown period between conversions from one plan to another? I am thinking to convert from this to individual expansion pack and then convert again to family expansion pack.

Why? Does that serve a special purpose? You can convert directly to the family expansion plan

Because I also have an individual expansion pack code and that's the only way I can think to convert to the family plan.
