No, it's not. It's available everywhere except CA, as mentioned in the description, had you read it.

These are great specs indeed. Unless you need extra hard drive bays or PCIe expansion card slots, a laptop can serve you just as well. You can plug in your monitor, keyboard and mouse into it, and you probably won't know the difference.

No, you don't have to keep the lid opened. You can change the setting for what the laptop does when the lid is closed. Normally, it would go to sleep, but you can disable that.

I've been using this exact laptop (albeit mine came with 8gb soldered +8gb stick, which i replaced with a 16gb for a total of 24gb). I've owned it for at least a year, maybe 2 now.

Its my work laptop, used mostly for web browsing, it admin, and programming various electrical goodies.
Its a wonderful machine. It has usb C, and charges through it. However its only usb 3, so no video out. I use the HDMI port, and a usb to hdmi adapter (one screen is just email).
The i9-13900h gets through all my tasks with ease. The battery sucks, but its a friggin I9, i wasn't expecting good battery.

Can you run light games on Intel Xe Graphics?
As a general rule, do not play game without a dedicated card unless you are ok with 10 to 30 fps on the latest possible settings while the CPU is running at 100c.

older model. ddr4. no touchscreen. integrated xe graphics only which gets pummeled even by the lowly mx450 in my 6 year old laptop. little hard to see from the pics, but looks like a barrel power port, not usb-c.

i'd value something like this closer to the 500 range, and only for office/media/school stuff. not for gaming.

I was sitting here wondering why this is so cheap. Even the non sale price seems really low and you just made it make sense.

I need a new laptop and have a quick question for someone knowledgeable about current specs:

Since the price is similar, which is the better deal:
this MicroCenter (new) or the Dell Inspiron open box deal (good condition)?
And is one considerably better/more powerful than the other (graphics card, processor, etc)?

Dell Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1 (Open-Boxes): 16" QHD+ Mini-LED 90Hz Touch, Intel Ultra 7 155H, 32GB LPDDR5, 1TB SSD $564.99 at Best Buy

I won't be doing any serious gaming on this, but l will be using photoshop and illustrator for work and often have A LOT of tabs open for hours on end --- and like responsiveness.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Processor wise I read that yours was 40+% faster than this beast processor. The exact number is 42%, I think.

I was looking at the lenovo with 155H and compared it to something I'm more familiar like this processor.
