I wish it had 3D built in. Large screen with 4k is perfect marriage for 3D.

I have the 85" QNX1D (same TV as this but comes with a different stand from the factory). It honestly looks incredible to me, and even though there are nicer TVs like OLED that money can buy, I don't think that it's worth spending $2K more for an 83" LG C4 for example.
The contrast is really impressive compared to my prior 65" QN90A, and even though there's decent blooming in game mode I find that the image looks convincingly black most of the time. Everything else about it as good as you'd expect and paired with an Apple TV 4K is the closest I can get to my own home cinema experience!

90 day warranty is a bit scary. i wonder if you could add on something like an allstate protection plan or a credit card warranty, but doubt it because of being a refurb

These could be returns due to excessive DSE, or dirty screen effect. That usually cannot be repaired and everyone has a different tolerance to it. Just a hunch, but owning an 85" QN90A, everything is more pronounced. It's most noticeable when panning across a sky.

this.

If you ever had to make a claim with Allstate for electronics then you would probably not want that assurance anymore. I've read horror stories of folks making claims and they get bounced back and forth. On paper the 5 year warranty sounds good.
