While analog pencil gauges are good to have in a pinch, they're pretty useless and accuracy is a joke. Why not just keep an extra CR2032 (or whatever battery these take) in your glove box?
These won't be accurate for long, if ever. Much better off with a simple gauge that also requires no batteries.
Well, you're wrong.
I've had 2 of these for over a year. They work great and are more accurate than gauges at the gas station or WAWA type stores.
Have not had to change a battery yet.
Screen is clear and legible in sunny daylight or dark night.
Chinese or not, they work well.

Give it a rest. It's okay to be wrong.

It might be worth keeping a pencil gauge in the glove box too, but I've used digital pressure gauges for at least 7 years and have never had a dead battery problem (nor have I ever replaced the batteries :3)... but it's not a bad idea to be safe.
Personally I mostly used this device at home. This is nice to have out and about, but generally if I need it I'd probably also be putting air into the tires and typically inflators (including the one I own) have their own pressure measuring capabilities.

Buy a bourdon Accugage if you're concerned about batteries. My made in USA 1981 Accugage is accurate to -0.4 psi at 60 psi full scare. Perhaps the current Chinese offerings are less accurate.
Always check the tire pressure when the tire is cold. Just keep this tire gauge in the garage and store two spare AAA batterie in the house for backup.
Please cite your evidence that it is stolen tech.
