Pretty typical price (not a Slickdeal). I bought on May 14th for the same price.

Order of 8 should last about 2 years.

That depends on the hardness of your water and how much you filter/drink. For two people with hardness in the 400s, we go through one of these every 3 weeks or so. So 8 filters would last me about 6 months.

Did your water hardness worsen? I've heard that you can use 2 pitchers to make it last longer, filtering the water in the old sour filter first

Can never get used to zerowater. Always starts tasting like metal after a few days of replacing the filter.

yep. gave up on the product because it would be way too expensive if i had to change filters that fast.

had a metallic lemon taste

fyi, sale is on the "legacy filter" style, since culligan bought zerowater
they changed the physical casing, but i doubt the media has changed.
