I just got this one from Dell, used the 10% coupon- email sign up, and 100 off 500 from AMEX, and also CB site gave me back 24 USD so it's around $415 for me for this item.

+you can buy stick - original for $22 and extra battery $44(if you need it)

Its still cheaper than costco

dell site 30days return
vs
costco 90days return

I've had this a few weeks now (last Costco deal) and it's honestly an incredible camera. I'm still trying to figure out the optimal workflow for quickly editing videos. The goal is to record something, and within 30 minutes having something ready for social media. Still trying to get that down, but the software (mobile app) isn't as intuitive or fast as some reviews have suggested. Either way super happy with the purchase.
I have been having a heck of a time finding the 2-in-1 foldable selfie stick though. It's only been available through the Insta360 website (expensive shipping) and it goes in and out of stock pretty frequently.

8k still isn't enough for 360 degrees. In low light the footage is still going to look grainy. I think the Insta360 gimmick is to use AI to smooth over the lack of resolution. I have an X4 and I tried to pull stills out of the video and it looks like crap for the most part and the images reminds me of early 2000's digicams. I think we're far from having the ability to actually use stills from 360 cams

Any advice on getting this x5 bundle or the new lower priced x4 bumdle for $299? This will be my first 360 camera and I'm looking to use it for family trips and other random events.
Thanks in advance for any info. Appreciate it!

It is kind of gimmicky and yes, you should never expect to pull nice pictures out of these devices. I agree there needs to be higher resolution. I will say I hope they improve their tech, even for 2-3 minute videos. It is fun being able to wear a Quest 3 and sit in VR video of vacations and whatnot. We took the x3 to Bahamas for some waterparks/slides and x4 to Disney. In dark lights the x4 was indeed like those 2000's cameras with grain and moving all over. In bright sunlight the x3 performed adequately, but the AI had trouble with anything not directly in front of the camera. I think putting together a stellar 180 degree camera would be more useful for most purposes and I'll probably be looking at 180degree cameras for next vacation which have superior resolution.
I'd say $350-400 is adequate price point for Insta360 products, but would aim to buy around $300-350 on base unit and $375-425 on bundle. It's a fun camera if you want to spend less and don't care about abusing it (with covers on). Personally would prefer $1,000-1,200 better rez 180/360 camera.

It is now in stock on Costco website. Just ordered one. Good luck if you are still trying to get one!
