The G74 has a 9800X3D and maybe a better case but very similar. Not sure if is worth the extra $230 for it.

Hmm, ok.
Yeah, built so many for self and others back when that I lost count. But now I have an arsenal of laptops (which I obviously didn't build) and I don't miss chasing down drivers and firmware and running memtest and drive checks.
So yeah, I'd generally agree in my elder-geek phase of life.
Good deal is subjective. Is this about the right price given the specs and current inflated pricing on everything? Yeah.. a "deal"? Nope.

I get your point though as far as buying a prebuilt does give you a high degree of confidence, and you have a warranty. So it is really hassle free for those who don't know what they are doing.

Comes out just slightly more than building it yourself with equal parts, but with the benefit of a 1 year warranty.
Even cheaper when you find them open box

If 2 years from now you want to upgrade the Power Supply so you can upgrade the GPU, not an issue with this system....with a Dell/HP....it will be much trickier.
Looks like they jacked up the price by 80 though.
