Did you pay through gift card, rewards or some other means? I don't see this total.

It's no better then buying those long fly glue traps. The refills are expensive. This is a HP inkjet printer scheme if you ask me. Cheap device but you will be shelling $$$ on the refills

kind of crazy that tax is on the original price, it becomes a large portion of the final cost, in high tax states

Ha! I saw STEM and thought it was an educational, learning product. I've only seen 2 flying bugs in the house this year. So, don't need.

I have the Zevo ones, and they work MUCH better than a glue strip. I can't vouch for these here, but the Zevo attracts everything and is very discrete. One big difference I see is that Zevo ones have the adhesive on the inside, so you never see the bugs unless you pull out the "insert" or whatever you want to call it. This STEM one is cheaper than Zevo, though.

This is much more aesthetically pleasing.

Unless you WANT your house to look like a Appalachian cabin from the 1970's

I got one of these at Walmart for roughly the same price after 'walmart cash' and in that thread someone said there are generics available for this. Just found some that look like the originals but for ~$1.15 each. I can live with that. As for the effectiveness, I don't believe it. I've had those long fly glue traps before. They work by catching whatever happens to randomly land on them. This blue light attracts the flies and it works damn well. I had probably 20 gnats on this trap glue board after the first night. No way that many would've randly landed on one of those ugly ass glue strips in one night.
