8x42 best for birds, astro with 27 light index
10x42 good all-around binoculars for daytime and cloudy days. 17 light
16x and 20x for tripod and static
Weather Proof in Heavy Rain & Drop Resistant Alloy
Best ED FMC - $80-500. 4.5/5 optical quality
Good HD FMC - $80-150. 4/5 Diamond Back HD
Ok- non-HD MC -$20-70. 3.5/5 Diamond Back
Weather Resistant 8n Light Rain & Plastic Light less Durable
Low Cost- Bak7 MC - $10-50. 1.5/5. 7 light index
These Vortex Crossfire HD are good quality for name brand all weather for $75
Or can someone guy highlight what the advantages these have over the diamondback HD?
I have the diamondbacks already and they are great. But sometimes a little hard to keep them steady, but thinking smaller magnification/optics (idk the term), might be the fix for that.
Razor HD 4.5 aka 4k. Usable very low light
Diamond HD 4 1080/1440p. Usable in low light
Crossfire HD 3.5 aka Full HDp.
Crossfire 8x gets back 2 stops of light compared to 10x. Makes a great spare bino
Update: I tried the HD Diamondback and Crossfire. In daytime, I couldn't tell the difference. Both were very sharp , easy to use once focus us fi tuned. Only run difference is DB is more durable, heavy alloy construction
