, many types of bugs are attracted to cardboard. Cardboard is made primarily from cellulose, a plant-based material that serves as a food source for pests such as cockroaches, silverfish, and termites. Additionally, the glue used in cardboard contains starches, which further attract certain insects.
The Asian in me both loves this and scoffs at this: I just use old shoe boxes and Amazon boxes cut down to fit into my drawers.
The main problem I have using cardboard is silverfish. But if you don't ever have to deal with that then cardboard boxes would be perfectly fine.

i hate silverfish. and earwigs for that matter. Bifenthrin 7.9% thankfully will take care of all of that (as well as most other creepy crawlies) and $20 supply will last for a loooonnng time

Need to keep it temp controlled and even then shelf life is only like 2-3 years before it starts losing its potency. Bifen XTS is oil based though, so it will stick around longer once sprayed outdoors.

I used to think this exactly, but ive begun reusing cardboard as the 1st post stated and haven't had a single issue. Just started cardboard organizers this yr and the weather has been weird, so maybe thats y, but not a single bug in sight.

If you have a 3D printer, a potentially better alternative to these is the gridfinity system and any number of the different basket styles. I used that system to customize two sets of IKEA drawers. My annoyance with off the shelf bins is that they just slide around when you open and close the drawer.

Shows as $9.99 to me, but when I added it to the cart it jumped to $11.99. Went back to the front page, still $9.99. Added it again, $11.99.
