The white one just arrived and it's way louder than my other USB fans even in the lowest setting.. it moves air ok, but i'd much prefer the ~5" bladed USB fans I typically get.

I tilt my fan slightly down and have it blowing across my laptop keyboard on low and that seems to solve my warm laptop issue.. this fan will do it, but it's louder and has a larger footprint on my desk.

How is this compare to one of the best selling table fan in Amazon for $8.99?

I have a slightly different solution. I use an old laptop cooling pad I'm no longer using, and put my modern and router on it like two drinks on a platter and it keeps it well ventilated.

I wonder if these have the same air power as the battery powered portable fans that have been popping up left and right. I have a ton of USB desk fans between work/home and typically find them for $5-$6 each. If this fan has the higher air flow of the mini fans, I'm all about giving this a shot for $9

This probably a stupid question. Would this work to just put behind my modem and router to air it out. I've noticed it's been getting pretty hot around it. It's in a fairly open spot in my entertainment center but still getting quite warm.

Might need more air

I've been setting up 4 inch vent pipes with the inline fan setup with 270 CFM to drive airflow for the poor AC airflow. May work for you vs. this little tiny fan


It is typically used for some kind of exhaust venting but works well!

If you need one in a hurry, be sure to check the color options. Black could take over a week. For me, blue was overnight.
