While this is $300 more than another recent popular deal at microcenter (with 9070 XT), this one has a more expensive GPU and higher end motherboard w/ top gaming CPU.

Think you may still be able to build this cheaper it won't be much. Other than being able to pick your own specs.
I've always wondered why folks think a prebuild is supposed to be at a "discount", prebuilds typically add a premium for the convenience of not having to build it your self.
Powerspec are usually pretty good options, I typically recommend that people upgrade the cpu cooling as the stock cooler usually sucks.

Normally they aren't. But these Micro Center Powerspec builds on sale are actually cheaper. 5070 Ti is hard to find at MSRP. Even if this build cost exactly the same as building it your self you get 1 year limited warranty. Kind of a no brainer if you live near a Micro Center

I learned the same thing as I've been shopping for a new desktop over the last couple months. For example, Micro Center has a "deal" on a 5070 Ti right now for $999, but the implied value of the GPU in this build is definitely a better price than that.

I roughly added, and if I want to use the parts that they used for this came out at least 2k.. Where are you getting all the parts from with cheaper prices?

Agreed! I just picked this up at Micro Center, and they were selling 5070 TI cards for 900
These Microcenter Power Spec deals are actually pretty good. If you price everything out you're lucky to come close to this. They effectively build it for free.

I would assume if a 'manufacturer' of systems is going to include a "GDX 1980 Pi Ultra" in an official "product" that they offer, it would be because they're buying in bulk and SHOULD be getting a better rate than 1 single consumer purchasing the same component... And then stack this 'wholesale price' across all the components. However I guess that's not always the case with the crazy demand curve for these high-end, temporarily top-notch components. And timing is a major factor because these things come out every year like a new model of iPhone...

GDX 1980 Pi Ultra? You lost me with that reference.
Why do you think everything marked up? Apple, Samsung, off brand, name brand, everything in-between. Companies are here for profit. This goes across the board, as people make similar arguments at restaurants, the cost of the food is significantly less than the meal. In free markets value isn't strictly determined by the manufacturing cost of an item.
Powerspec, whether purchased at "bulk/wholesale" or not are one of the few prebuilt pc's that doesn't require a one off sale to get a PC near retail cost of the combined parts and software. Convenience, lack of interest/skill to build your own, 1 stop shop warranty etc all have implied value to some buyers.
If they sold prebuilds at a discounted price what do you think would happen? Spin back to the 30 series launch where u couldn't find a prebuild because people were buying them to sell off the gpu's. Similar would happen if the real discounts would show up in prebuilds, also people would buy and sell them third party.
The markup on the custom pc business is really where things get absurd.
