I got these and they do run a little small. I'm normally 11 11.5 US size, and these shoes I am a euro 46 or 12.25

Rubber compound is soft to grip the spikes on flat pedals. The bottom is really stiff as well. These shoes would not be comfortable to walk in as a daily shoe

Compared to a skate shoe, the sole is a lot stiffer and focuses more on damping vibration than cushioning steps. The rubber is designed to interlock and stick to flat/platform pedal pins, while not getting chewed up by it. The uppers are designed to deflect vegetation, like stuff that sticks to woven fabrics. The toe box on these can protect toes from getting smashed.
